We left our base in Makkum today at 12h45 local time and passed the Kornwerderzand water lock one hour later. The water lock connects the IJsselmeer (sweet water) with the Waddenzee (salt water). The outflowing tide now helps us reaching the Marina of Oudeschild on the island of Texel within two hours. This first leg is a particularly short on but hey, we are on our way!
